Steve Brinster has been one of the most respected competitors in professional disc golf for nearly three decades. Joining the PDGA in 1996 and turning professional in 1997, he built a career defined by consistency, power, and longevity, amassing more than 100 professional wins and establishing himself as a perennial presence in elite fields.
The defining competitive moment of Steve’s career came in 2013 when he won the United States Disc Golf Championship, capturing his first PDGA Major title. That victory placed him among a select group of players to win the sport’s most prestigious event and highlighted his ability to perform under the highest pressure. His sustained excellence continued well beyond that milestone, including earning his 100th career PDGA win in 2019.
Beyond competition, Steve has had a lasting influence through course design. He has designed and collaborated on numerous courses throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, many of which are regarded as demanding, thoughtful layouts shaped by his experience at the highest level of play. Inducted into the New York Disc Golf Hall of Fame, Steve Brinster’s legacy reflects championship pedigree, design influence, and a lifelong commitment to the growth of the sport.
