Kellan McCann

Kellan McCann discovered disc golf in 2011 after watching videos online and trying the sport with a starter pack, an introduction that quickly turned into a long-term passion. After a shoulder injury ended his college baseball career, Kellan redirected his competitive drive toward disc golf and began taking the sport seriously in 2015.

From 2015 to 2020, Kellan competed in Collegiate Disc Golf with Arkansas State, winning five consecutive conference championships and earning a spot at the Dean’s Cup at Winthrop following a podium finish at Nationals. His collegiate years remain one of the most meaningful chapters of his disc golf journey, blending competition, teamwork, and community.

Kellan’s professional background in marketing has played a major role in how he contributes to the sport. Sponsored by 1010 Discs beginning in 2016, he later joined the company as Marketing Director in 2024, combining creative strategy with firsthand knowledge of disc golf culture. That same year, he reached a career-high 1000 PDGA rating, becoming the highest-rated disc golfer in Arkansas at the time.

Outside of competition, Kellan is deeply invested in local disc golf. He co-runs the Jonesboro disc golf club, helping organize weekly tags, winter putting leagues, and an annual tournament, driven by a strong belief that grassroots communities are where the sport grows best. He balances his involvement in disc golf with family life as a father of two and continues to use his marketing skills to help elevate the game.
