Ken Climo, often referred to as “The Champ,” is widely regarded as one of the greatest disc golfers in the history of the sport. His athletic pursuits began with traditional golf before he transitioned to disc golf in the late 1980s. His natural talent and dedication quickly propelled him to the forefront of the game.
Throughout his illustrious career, Climo achieved an unparalleled record of twelve PDGA World Championship titles in the Open Division, including nine consecutive victories from 1990 to 1998. He also secured five United States Disc Golf Championships between 1999 and 2007. In recognition of his dominance, Climo was named PDGA Male Player of the Year multiple times and was inducted into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame in 1995.
After transitioning to the Masters Division, Climo continued his winning ways with three additional World Championship titles in 2012, 2014, and 2015. Beyond competition, he has contributed to the sport through course design and mentorship.
In 2025, Climo partnered with Discraft to launch “Climo Disc Golf,” a standalone brand offering a full lineup of discs and gear. The collaboration highlights his continued influence and legacy in the sport.
