The Texas Swing ended with big excitement as AB became the first repeat winner of the 2024 Disc Golf Pro Tour! Read about all the Team GRIPeq standings below for the last Texas event of the year.
Team GRIPeq: MPO
The year of AB. An unofficial 1106-rated second round kept him six strokes ahead of the field going into Championship Sunday. After staying mentally cool with the pressure from Ezra Aderhold and Gannon Buhr, AB mastered the course and took down the win with one stroke separating him from second place. Anthony Barela ended the event with -34, leading the field in parked percentage at 30%. This marks AB’s second win on the Disc Golf Pro Tour so far this year.
Team GRIPeq: FPO
On the FPO side, we saw Ohn Scoggins end the first and second rounds in the lead. Ohn finished the tournament in third place, three strokes behind first. Like AB, Ohn also lead the FPO field in parked percentage, parking 20% of the holes all weekend long. Missy Gannon put up a fight at this event as well. Missy found herself in T24 with -2 after the first round but kept going to make it back into the top five spots. After the final round, Missy ended up in T4 place with an -18 event total and the best scramble rate of the competition at 75%.
