The 2024 Texas Swing has begun! WACO brought the wind, rain, and action during this first DGPT+ event of the year; read the Team GRIPeq highlights below. 


Team GRIPeq: FPO

Ohn Scoggins had a solid 2nd place finish from the chase card, throwing a hot -4 on the back nine of the final stretch of the tournament at Lake Waco! She finished with a score of -13 and a 995 event rating. Ohn also never went OB in the final round! 

Eveliina and Henna were throwing excellent drives. They had some of the top fairway hit stats in the field, with Henna having 86% fairway hits. Henna also led the division in C1 reg and C2 reg. Eveliina ended the tournament with a final score of -10, earning T4, and Henna would end up in T6 with a score of -8.

Team GRIPeq: MPO

Anthony Barela was a few cards back from the lead but still managed to push to a T4 place with a scorching -11 round at Lake Waco on Sunday. Seven of those strokes came from the back nine of the final round alone, for a final event score of -31. He also threw a skip ace on hole 11, 265′! 

Kyle Klein, the reigning WACO Champion, led the tournament after day two and only had one bogey in his first 36 holes! He finished the event in T7 with a final score of -29.
