Avery Jenkins is a distinguished professional disc golfer renowned for his significant contributions to the sport. Born into a disc golf family, Avery was introduced to the game by his parents, Leroy and Sharon Jenkins, both accomplished players, and shares the sport with his sister, Valarie Jenkins, a four-time World Champion.
Turning professional in 2000, Avery quickly made his mark by earning the PDGA Rookie of the Year title. Throughout his career, he has secured 56 professional wins, including the prestigious 2009 PDGA World Championship. Avery is also a three-time U.S. Distance Champion, showcasing his prowess in both skill and power.
Beyond his competitive achievements, Avery has played a pivotal role in promoting disc golf globally. He has traveled extensively, playing over 1,500 courses across 49 states and 23 countries, sharing his passion and expertise with diverse audiences.
In recent years, Avery has transitioned into course design, utilizing his vast experience to create engaging and challenging courses. Since 2015, he has designed over 60 courses in 25 States and 5 countries, contributing to the sport’s growth and accessibility.
