Jay “Yeti” Reading, hailing from Wimberley, Texas, is a distinguished figure in the disc golf community, renowned for his exceptional putting skills and significant contributions to the sport. A five-time World Putting Champion, Jay’s precision on the green has set him apart as one of the game’s elite.
Throughout his career, Jay has amassed over 150 professional wins, including multiple World Doubles Championships and an Australian National Championship. In 2024, he continued his impressive performance with 14 victories across various divisions—3 in MPO, 6 in MP40, and 5 in MP50—all MP50 wins being A-Tier events. His success spanned six states, and he surpassed $200,000 in career tour earnings, underscoring his enduring excellence in the sport.
Beyond his competitive achievements, Jay co-founded the Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE) program in 2002, dedicated to introducing disc golf into schools and youth programs, fostering the sport’s growth among younger generations.
Jay’s contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the PDGA Bob West Sportsmanship Award, the Marshall Street Spirit Award, and the PDGA Educational Award.
