Nikko Forbes is a young competitor who approaches disc golf with both enthusiasm and intention. During the 2025 season, he delivered a strong competitive year, winning 8 of the 14 events he entered, including multiple victories in the MJ15 division and a win in MJ18, while continuing to develop skills beyond the scorecard.
Rather than maximizing tournament volume, Nikko and his family made a deliberate decision to prioritize balanced athletic growth and long-term health. In addition to disc golf, he competed in elite youth soccer, swimming, and indoor rock climbing, while following a structured strength program focused on stability and injury prevention. This multi-sport approach reflects a commitment to protecting developing joints and building a foundation designed to support both performance and longevity.
Nikko is also passionate about growing the game at the junior level. In 2025, he participated in multiple junior clinics, school visits, and community events, including demonstrations and random doubles rounds that introduced dozens of young athletes to disc golf. His ability to connect with other juniors and lead by example has made him a positive presence both on and off the course.
Looking ahead to 2026, Nikko is training with a professional coach and preparing for the Junior World Championships in Pittsburgh with a measured and disciplined plan. With a schedule designed to challenge him across divisions and courses, his focus remains on arriving healthy, confident, and ready to compete. His dedication, work ethic, and thoughtful approach make him a strong representative of Team GRIPeq and the future of the sport.
