Valarie Jenkins is one of the most accomplished and influential players in the history of women’s disc golf. Raised in a family deeply rooted in the sport, she was immersed in disc golf from an early age and turned professional in the early 2000s after a standout amateur career. Her rise coincided with a transformative era for the women’s game, and she quickly became one of its defining competitors.
Over the course of her career, Valarie captured four PDGA World Championship titles and amassed 16 Major victories, establishing a level of dominance rarely seen in any division. From 2007 through 2011, she was named PDGA Female Player of the Year five consecutive times, reflecting sustained excellence at the highest level. Her competitive résumé also includes dozens of elite-level wins and a reputation for precision, consistency, and mental toughness.
Beyond competition, Valarie’s impact on disc golf has been profound. She served on the PDGA Women’s Committee for several years and created the Women’s Global Event, which became the largest PDGA event ever focused on a single demographic. Inducted into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame, Valarie continues to influence the sport through leadership, advocacy, and community building, solidifying her place on the GRIPeq Legends Team as both a champion and a steward of the game.
