GRIPeq 2023 Disc Golf Holiday Gift Guide:
For the Weekend Warrior Disc Golfer

With the holidays just around the corner, we’re here to give you a grip on your shopping lists. Take a look at our awesome 2023 disc golf gift ideas for that friend who can’t stop talking about and playing disc golf!

GRIPeq BX3: Designed for Every Disc Golfer

We all know a disc golfer who’s out on the course after work or playing rounds in their area every weekend. They may not need 25-plus discs with them on the course and only use the essentials. We have the perfect bag in mind for their game.

Our BX3 bag is great for disc golfers who don’t need a huge bag but still have storage space for accessories and snacks. It can hold up to 21 discs and comes with expandable side pockets to store a flannel or packable coat when the round heats up. With this bag, you can enjoy a stress-free disc golf round as it endures the course and stores all the necessary equipment needed, including extra layers, bug spray, and snacks.

Additionally, this disc golf bag has a synch strap on the side, perfect for carrying a tripod stool, umbrella, or disc retriever! The front zippered valuables pocket is excellent for storing your phone and comes with an attached key clip to securely fasten your keys in the bag.

To ensure they’re ready for any weather condition, the GRIPeq XL Rain Cover fits the BX3 perfectly and can be purchased with the bag through grip-eq.com or at your local GRIPeq retailer. In addition to the back lumbar pocket, the bag’s back and shoulder padding ensure you stay comfortable throughout your rounds, even if you carry a lot of extra beverages during your round.

For that buddy who can’t stay away from the course and only needs to carry the essentials, the GRIPeq BX3 disc golf bag is a top choice.

Disc Golf Accessories For The Holidays

Disc golfers need their discs, disc golf bag, and hopefully, some water to have a comfortable and enjoyable round. While we can’t guarantee additional accessories will improve their skill, we have suggestions for making their rounds as stress-free as possible.

The first disc golf tool that will make their lives a little easier on the course is a disc retriever. This disc golf accessory will help any disc golfer retrieve their discs from areas that are unreachable, including tall tree limbs, water, and possible OB hazards. When you’re throwing over water or in the woods, you can feel a little more confident knowing you have a fair shot at getting a lost disc back.

You can find a disc retriever option on nearly every disc golf retail store site. Need help looking for a place to start shopping? No problem! Check out our list of Authorized GRIPeq Resellers to find a disc golf retailer near you.

Another great gift idea is a disc golf towel! We are big fans of The G.O.A.T. Towel, as they have both a waffle side for heavy debris and a moisture-wicking grid side to dry your disc completely. These towels are perfect for any condition and come equipped with a carabiner that attaches quickly to any D-Ring on your disc golf bag.

We currently have a few GRIPeq-designed custom G.O.A.T. Towels available on our site under accessories. Check out our rotating designs throughout the year to find ones that match your disc golf style!

Disc Golf Giving

The best way to spread disc golf cheer is to share the sport with the world. The Paul McBeth Foundation has installed 216 baskets and donated over 5000 discs all across the globe as of November 2023. We can’t wait to see their projects in the upcoming year as they continue to grow the sport globally.

You can donate directly to the Paul McBeth Foundation or learn more about their mission by visiting: https://www.paulmcbethfoundation.org/

For the Disc Golf Off Season

Disc golfers need not worry about the off-season as many areas organize indoor putting leagues to keep the friendly competition going year-round. In areas where weather conditions limit outdoor events, these indoor leagues provide a welcome change. Putting leagues are often held in community centers or indoor sports facilities and are open to players of all skill levels. They offer a chance for disc golfers to work on their putting skills and stay connected with their local disc golf community during the colder months. Moreover, some of these leagues offer a competitive atmosphere, with winners receiving prizes or recognition.

All in all, these indoor putting leagues are a great way for disc golfers to stay engaged with the sport and their community, even when the weather is not on their side.

Find a winter league near you on Disc Golf Scene or UDisc.
