The 2024 GRIPeq Legends Team
Disc golf, as we know it today, owes a great deal to the remarkable individuals listed below. Our GRIPeq Legends Team has won numerous World Championship titles and achieved impressive career wins. Several of these disc golfers are still actively competing and triumphing today, while others have discovered new career opportunities within the disc golf community, allowing them to continue sharing their love for the sport.
Let’s all applaud our 2024 GRIPeq Legends Team!
Avery Jenkins
This disc golf pro has been associated with GRIPeq since the very beginning and has been a PDGA member since 1993. Disc golf legend status is well deserved for Avery Jenkins, who has over 60 career wins and is a three-time U.S. Distance Champion, and has earned a World Championship win. Most recently, he has been building and designing courses for DiscGolfPark, including collaborating with the Paul McBeth Foundation in Montenegro.
Valarie Jenkins
Valarie Doss is a four-time World Champion and a highly accomplished professional disc golfer; she deserves all the recognition on the GRIPeq Legends Team. She is heavily involved in FPO commentary for the Disc Golf Pro Tour and is the founder of DiscGolf4Women.com, which provides resources for Women looking to play disc golf. Along with her partner, Nate Doss, she established Bevel Craft Brewing in 2018. Let’s go, Val!
Nate Doss
Next, let’s give a round of applause to Nate Doss, who is carrying forward his legacy in disc golf through his commentary and media work. Nate turned pro in 2000 when he was just 15 years old. He started touring in 2003 and has won three Disc Golf World Championships. Along with his partner Valarie Jenkins, Nate started Bevel Craft Brewing in 2018, naming beers after disc golf terminology.
Joe Rovere
We are excited to announce that Joe Rovere is returning to our Legends Team! Joe currently holds the top spot in the MP40 Global Masters Series ranking and has won the PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships for two consecutive years. We are eagerly looking forward to witnessing his achievements on the course in 2024!
Steve Brinster
Steve Brinster is a professional disc golfer who won his first tournament in 1999. He has played in almost 200 courses across five countries and has participated in over 250 events. In 2013, he won the United States Disc Golf Championship and was inducted into the New York Disc Golf Hall of Fame in 2020. He also has started to design disc golf courses. We are thrilled to welcome Steve back to our Legends Team, a true disc golf champion who trusts our bags on any course.
Jay Reading
Last but not least, Jay Reading is an experienced player and a member of the Disc Golf Hall of Fame, having won six World Putting titles and 16 PDGA victories in 2023 alone. In addition to his professional achievements, Jay is also passionate about promoting youth disc sports, as evidenced by his work with the Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE), where he helps young people discover disc golf in schools across the country. We couldn’t be prouder to have his support on the GRIPeq Legends Team!
